By registering and using this forum, you agree to the following rules.
1. We are a respectful community
A friendly and respectful tone is expected. Constructive criticism is welcome as long as it remains factual. Treat other members the way you would like to be treated yourself. Personal attacks, derogatory remarks, or deliberate provocation are not permitted.
Please use the Café thread to introduce yourself.
2. Write clear and understandable posts
To keep discussions structured and readable:
• Write clearly and pay attention to readability.
• Use clean, working links.
• Upload images preferably via the attachment function.
• Avoid advertising, spam, or repeated duplicate posts.
• Use existing threads if your topic fits there.
3. One user – one account
Multiple accounts per person are not permitted. If multiple accounts belonging to the same individual are identified, we reserve the right to impose restrictions or suspensions.
4. Reachability
Please provide a valid email address or allow messages from moderators. We must be able to contact you if necessary. Disposable or temporary email addresses are not permitted.
5. No artificial bumping of topics
Posts made solely to push a topic back to the top are not allowed. Only add replies if they provide genuine added value.
6. No support for illegal content
Discussions about illegal downloads, cracks, circumvention of protection mechanisms, or other unlawful activities are prohibited.
7. Copyright
Only publish content for which you hold the necessary rights. Quotes must be clearly marked as such. Each user is solely responsible for their own contributions.
8. Data protection
generation-i uses cookies for basic functions such as login and notifications. Personal data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
9. Liability for content
generation-i assumes no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of user-generated content. All content is used at your own risk.
10. No professional advice
Forum posts do not constitute technical, legal, medical, or financial advice and do not replace consultation with qualified professionals.
11. Indemnification
Members agree to indemnify generation-i and the forum team against all third-party claims arising from their own posts or from violations of third-party rights.
12. Moderation
The forum team reserves the right to edit, move, or delete posts and to warn, restrict, or ban users. There is no entitlement to publication or to a justification for moderation decisions.
13. Avatars, profile images, and uploads
Only images for which the user holds the necessary rights may be used. Content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory, pornographic, or extremist is not permitted.
14. Marketplace
The marketplace is intended exclusively for private, non-commercial offers. generation-i assumes no liability for transactions or disputes between users.
15. Advertising and commercial content
Advertising or commercial content is permitted only with prior approval from the forum team. Unauthorized advertising will be removed.
16. External links
generation-i assumes no liability for the content of external websites linked within the forum. Responsibility lies solely with the respective website operators.
17. Changes to the forum rules
The forum rules may be changed or supplemented at any time without prior notice. The currently published version shall apply.
18. Availability
There is no entitlement to permanent availability of the forum or individual content.
19. Jurisdiction and applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. The place of jurisdiction shall be Germany, insofar as legally permissible.
20. Severability clause
Should any provision of these rules be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
